RYB Coffee Table
2023
This Coffee Table was developed in one week, as a personal challenge.

The main inspiration for the design of this concept was the famous painting composition (1930) of the Dutch painter Piet Mondrian using the 3 primary colors (Red, Yellow and Blue).

The materials of this concept aren't fully defined yet, but will most likely be translucent for the color effect (visible further on) to be possible.

The structure of the product is tansparent, to convey the impression that the remaining colored components are floating.
The red component serves as a stabilizing base for the product and should be heavier than the other parts.

Color transformation
Yellow  +  Blue  =  Green
Depending on the viewer's perspective, the Blue circle turns into green.

Because of the colorful translucent material, it is possible for the user to play with the table's color spectrum.
.
.
Component placement for color transformation
The yellow part of the product is detachable and movable for the user to place as desired.

As seen in the next two examples, the "green effect" can be achieved through several different compositions.

Second composition
Depending on the viewer's perspective, the blue component shifts to a green color.
